Greetings everyone! Welcome to Day 7 of the Feast of Tabernacles, which is the last day of the Feast, but there's one more day called The Eighth Day, which will be The Last Great Day,

It's interesting, we have a beginning and an ending, and as soon as there's an ending, there's a beginning. So, here we are, the last of the Feast of Tabernacles, and of course, that's going to be a time of great harvest!

We don't know the full extent of God's Plan from His point of view. We understand an outline of it from the Bible and from the Holy Days, and from the prophecies. But:

  • How deep?
  • How thorough?
  • How many?

That's going to be a wondrous thing that we're all going to be part of, because we're going to be kings and priests and administrators and those over cities and those over districts, and we're going to run the entire world God's way!

Rev. 20—let's just do a little review of what's going to happen during the Millennium. Now just think about this again, because here we are:

  • we're the weak
  • we're the few
  • we're the called
  • we're the chosen

In reading some of the things that John Guenther has done concerning martyrdoms of the saints, and that was something that was carried out clear into the middle to late 1600s. There were brethren, that the test that they had was: Would they be faithful to Christ unto death when they're facing immediate extermination by those who want to kill them now?

So, kind of put that in your mind and in your thought, and see if that can help you understand that even though we all have problems, trials and difficulties today—which we do—but nothing like they went through, it is absolutely astounding!

Rev. 2—let's see what God said to the Church at Smyrna. This is the one that suffered more persecution and death, that faithfulness has to be unto death. Also, remember that baptism is a burial, and we are laid alongside or over to conjoined (Rom. 6) to the sacrifice of Christ, which is an amazing thing to understand. So, the baptism is our pledge unto death, that we will be faithful! The world is run by Satan the devil, and:

  • he hates us
  • he hates the Church
  • he hates Christ
  • he hates God the Father

doing all he can to undermine and destroy the Church!

Revelation 2:8: "And to the angel of the Church of the Smyrneans write: These things says the First and the Last, Who was dead but is alive."

Now the very fact of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is a guarantee that we will be resurrected, that all the saints will be resurrected.

Verse 9: "I know your works and tribulation and poverty…."

People think that if they have a blessing from God—which is a material blessing of this or that or the other thing—that they have favor from God! Well, that may be true, but how long is that going to last?

"…(but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who declare themselves to be Jews…" (v 9)—that is true Christians! That's the blasphemy of the Catholic Church and the blasphemy on the Islamics,

"…and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan" (v 9).

Now, confronted right with that, we're seeing that develop again in our days. We're seeing that develop again up to the final martyrdom, as we find in the fifth seal (Rev. 6).

Verse 10: "Do not fear any of the things that you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life."

This is a very short message, but it is powerful, indeed!

Verse 11: "The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches…." That's what we need to do!

  • we need to hear God
  • we need to listen to His Word
  • we need to study it
  • we need to pray over it
  • we need to live by it

"…The one who overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death" (v 11).

That's just a little review of what it was like back then, and what it's going to be like in the future!

When we see in Rev. 20:4, we see this martyrdom again brought. Do we really love God the Father and Jesus Christ unto death? Too many people come into the 'Christianity' of this world:

  • looking for good things
  • looking for rewards
  • looking for happiness

But here's what they're going to find, IF they're true Christians.

Revelation 20:4: "And I saw thrones; and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given to them…. [that's why we have to learn and know righteous judgment] …and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the Word of God, and those who did not worship the beast or his image, and did not receive the mark in their foreheads or in their hands…"

Just like Jesus said to the Church of the Smyrneans. 'Don't fear death. I was dead, but I'm alive evermore' That will be with us here.

"…and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (v 4).

Verse 5: "…This is the first resurrection. Blessed and Holy is the one who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power…. [same thing that he told the Smyrneans] …But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years (vs 5-6).

This is what we're going to bring to the world. This is why we need :

  • to know the Word of God
  • to study the Word of God
  • to live by the Word of God

Now, let's see of all the Churches and how our attitude needs to be and how we need to stay close to God:

  • we need to guard the Truth
  • we need to protect the Truth
  • we need to find out more of the Truth
  • we need to learn as much as we can
  • we need to have it so we can dispense it out to other people

Revelation 3:7: "And to the angel of the Church in Philadelphia, write: 'These things says the Holy One, the One Who is true; the One Who has the key of David, Who opens and no one shuts, and Who shuts and no one opens.'" This shows that Christ is there:

  • to provide the way
  • to make the means possible
  • to preach the Word
  • to keep the Word

Verse 8: "I know your works…."

Now, isn't it interesting that never, never does Jesus say, 'I know your faith'? Because faith without works—as James wrote—is dead! So, it's the works, because whatever faith we have produces the works that we do!

Everyone has works, even if they claim that they have faith. James said, 'you show me your works by your faith, and I will show you my works by my faith.'

Verse 8: "I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no one has the power to shut it because you have a little strength…"—and that's where we are today!

Look at the Church scattered everywhere, small, not big. Lots of times we've looked at things and we've accused different things concerning Laodiceanism, and I'm sure that there has been a lot of that within the Church, as well as the various attitudes of the seven churches altogether.

However, in looking at the Laodiceans—and I bring this out as a possibility, so I ring my cowbell (speculation)—I don't know of a single Church of God that can be classified as 'rich and increased with goods.'

Now then, there is a Sabbath-keeping Church that is 'rich and increased with goods,' and they have 21-million members. They have churches, buildings, colleges, hospitals, and they are the Sabbath-keeping Seventh-Day Adventists. They even identify themselves as Laodicean. So, just keep that in mind. About the only thing that they have left that is true Biblically; that is the Sabbath.

Let's come back here to the Church at Philadelphia, and see that they "…have a little strength, and have kept My Word…" (v 8). That means:

  • to keep
  • to observe
  • to protect

All of those things are wrapped up in the meaning of the word keep.

"…and have not denied My name" (v 8).

Now again, just like with the Smyrnans, we're up against the synagogue of Satan, and he is out there doing all he can to destroy 'nominal' Christianity in the world, and will be coming after the Churches of God.

Verse:9: "Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who proclaim themselves to be Jews and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will cause them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you."

And that's the thing, the key thing of everything that we do is:

  • loving God
  • loving each other
  • loving the Word of God
  • proclaiming the Word of God
  • defending the Truth
  • understanding more
  • asking God to give us wisdom and Truth

All of that's all involved right here!

Verse 10: "Because you have kept the Word of My patience…"

There are a lot of attacks on it. There are a lot of people out there now who are willing to settle for kind of the half amount that they might get in some of the Protestantism or Seventh-Day Adventism.

"…I also will keep you from the time of temptation, which is about to come upon the whole world to try those who dwell on the earth" (v 10).

We don't know how long that's going to be; we don't know what the trial is going to be, but God is going to keep us from it! How's He going to keep us from it? Some of us are going to die and:

  • we will die in the faith
  • we'll be in the grave
  • we'll be in what is called the sleep of death waiting for the resurrection

Verse 11: "Behold, I am coming quickly… [this is close to when He's coming] …hold fast that which you have so that no one may take away your crown."

That's the thing we need to do today. That's why we keep the Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and tomorrow, the Last Great Day!

Verse 12: "The one who overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall not go out anymore; and I will write upon him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven from My God; and I will write upon him My new name."

That's a lot! So, with this, and looking to the future, but right now today: don't worry about anything, put it all in God's hands:

  • He's there to help
  • He's there to bless
  • He's there to guide us

Verse 13: "The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches."

Now, this will be the same message that we will be giving all during the Millennium.

Micah 4—let's take a look at that, because that's a very interesting part. That's very similar to Isa. 2, because Micah was also preaching at the same time as Isaiah was preaching. You will see it's almost word for word for what is in Isa. 2. This is what's going to carry on through all of the thousand-year reign!

This is going to be something! Imagine what that's going to be like! The earth is going to be absolutely the most beautiful place that we have ever understood. There's going to be all the people being taught the way of God.

Micah 4:1: "But it shall be in the last days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains... [similar to governments] …and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come and say, 'Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths'…" (vs 1-2).

Now, when that happens, there's going to be very little crime! There will be very little sin! But note this: God is not going to take away free moral agency!

But over the long haul—this will happen in the Millennium because as we will see what happens at the end of the Millennium, when we get to the end of this message—corruption sets in!

Right at first, everything's going to be beautiful, wonderful,  and the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the seas cover the earth today! That's going to be something to have all of that.

Verse 3: "And He shall judge among many people, and will rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."

Notice v 4, there's going to be private property. All the economy is going to be run on the seven-year cycle and the Jubilee cycle.

As we have seen in Isa. 60, that there's going to be great wealth, lots of gold, lots of silver, and iron will be a common thing. We don't know how that will be, But remember this:  human nature, when it has everything it wants, will begin to corrupt itself!

The reason is that in spite of everything, God will not take away the free choice of our independent free mall agency. Every single person must choose and go God's way!

Let's see what it's going to be like, because the whole world will be keeping the Sabbath and the Holy Days.

Isaiah 66:22: "'For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me,' says the LORD, 'so will your seed and your name remain.'"

In other words, what we have is our new name written upon us, that remains, that goes down through all eternity. Tomorrow we're going to see what an awesome plan God has. It's amazing, indeed!

Verse 23: "'And it shall come to pass, that from one month to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me,' says the LORD."

Quite a thing! The whole world! So wherever the International Dateline is going to be, that's where the Sabbath will start, and sundown will go all around the earth, and then it will come back to the beginning, and then it will be daylight for that portion and come all around here. So, that's quite a thing that's going to happen.

  • everyone is going to come before God
  • everyone is going to serve God
  • everyone's going to know the Laws and Commandments of God

As we have seen in Isa. 30, they're going to see us! We're going to teach them. We'll show them"

  • the way to go
  • how to do it
  • what they need to do

Ezekiel 37—we will see also what's going to happen here. That it's going to be for the whole world, but starting out with the children of Israel. Here's another section of the Scriptures, which show that the children of Israel, the physical children of Israel, will also be brought together, and that David will be the king over all of Israel. As we know from the New Testament, the twelve apostles will be sitting on thrones judging the twelve tribes under David.

Ezekiel 37:21—the LORD speaking: "And say to them... [because he took a stick, brought two of them together] …"Thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and will bring them into their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be king over them all. And they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they be divided into two kingdoms anymore at all" (vs 21-22).

He's going to bring them back, and it will be that way. He says in v 23 that He will save them,

Verse 24: "And David My servant shall be king over them. And there shall be one shepherd to all of them. And they shall walk in My ordinances and obey My laws, and do them."

That's the whole thing! Satan wants you to come along and say in this world today:

  • you don't need to have laws
  • you don't need to have these things
  • everyone can be a law unto himself

Of course, that's how he destroys people and nations! That's why he is removed and locked up at the beginning of the Millennium.

Verse 25: "And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, the land in which your fathers have dwelt. And they shall dwell in it, even they and their children, and their children's children forever. And My servant David shall be their ruler forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them…." (vs 25-26).

This is what God is going to do with all nations and all people, a covenant of peace, a covenant now so they can have an opportunity:

  • to live God's way
  • to receive God's Spirit
  • to grow and overcome

and then at the end of 100 years, as we've already seen in Isa. 65, they will enter into the Kingdom of God.

Then there's that one part we'll look at in a little bit, which is:

  • the ones who are sinners
  • the ones who will not repent
  • the ones who want to insist on going their own way

They shall die accursed, meaning they will await the second resurrection to be cast into the Lake of Fire!

Well, I'm getting just a little ahead of myself, but we need to have that there.

"…And I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in their midst forever. And My tabernacle shall be with them…." (vs 26-27).

Interesting, isn't it? Because it says in Isa. 4 that there's going to be on the Mount of Olives the great tabernacle of God, not the little temple in Ezekiel. That's the measurements for the second temple. That has nothing to do with the Millennium. The whole thousand-year period! Then we come to the end, and then we have a situation. What are we going to do with the sinners? (We'll cover that in just a little bit.)

"…Yea, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And the nations shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in their midst forever" (vs 27-28).

So it's going to be a whole different proposition than what we have today.

Ezek. 38 & 39 tell us about the invasion right at the beginning of the Millennium by Gog and Magog and all the nations with them, that they will see that Israel is there in peace, in unwalled cities, and the villages are not fenced up. Everything is at peace.

About seven years into the Millennium, they will come again with armies, and they will come to attack, and then God is going to destroy them, and as we find in Ezek. 39. It says what's going to happen after He has destroyed their armies?

Ezekiel 39:6: "And I will send a fire on Magog, and on those who dwell in the isles. And they shall know that I am the LORD."

That's quite a statement, because all the way through chapter 39, it shows that this final battle, this is going to be the last one at the beginning of the Millennium that people are going to know. They will know that God is Lord on the earth!

Verse 7: "And I will make My Holy name known in the midst of My people Israel. And I will not let them profane My Holy name any more. Then the nations shall know…"

This is the final peace for the whole world in the seventh year, and then it's going to be peace for the remainder of the thousand-year Millennial period.

"…Then the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel" (v 7).

Verse 21: "And I will set My glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see My judgments, which I have executed, and My hand that I have laid on them."

So everyone's going to come in to the jurisdiction of God under the authority of the saints who will be kings and priests and all of this. Now then, the Millennium goes on a thousand years.

Verse 21: "And I will set My glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see My judgments which I have executed, and My hand that I have laid on them. So, the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward…. [all through the Millennium] …And the nations shall know that the house of Israel was exiled for their iniquity. Because they were unfaithful to Me" (vs 21-23).

Then he says He has brought them back so that they would be faithful. That's quite a thing when we look at it, and they're going to be taught all of these things the way that God wants.

(break@32:45))

All right, now let's come to Isa. 51 and we'll see how it's going to go all through the Millennium and a great thing it's going to be.

Then we will look at something very interesting, because how is God going to take care of those who will not repent, because He gives us all free moral agency? But He's not going to take that away during the Millennium either, because as we have read there in Isa. 65 that the sinner shall die accursed.

Isaiah 51:1: "Hearken to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the LORD…"

That's exactly what it's going to be. That's exactly how it's going to be with all nations, all people. They're going to be:

  • seeking God
  • looking to His righteousness
  • keeping His commandments
  • keeping the Sabbath Day
  • keeping the Holy Days

So, this harvest is going to be absolutely spectacular for a thousand years, and they're always going to be pointed toward:

  • Jerusalem
  • Jesus Christ
  • the patriarchs
  • all the apostles
  • all of the saints

who are running the whole world!

Verse 2: "Look to the Rock from which you were cut, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug…. [the resurrection] …Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you…"

Now that's quite an interesting thing, because Abraham's going to be right there with Jesus Christ right at the temple.

Now you go back and you think about that covenant sacrifice that was made in Gen. 15 on the very first Passover, because that happened on a Passover Day and night. So, Abraham's going to be there and Sarah right there with Him.

"…for I called him alone, and blessed him, and made him many" (v 2).

What did He say? He said to Abraham, 'Look at the stars in heaven. If you can number them, count them. So shall your seed be.'

Let's come back here to the very beginning of the calling of Abraham. We find this in:

Gen. 12—Let's look at this because God told him what was going to happen. Here's how it all started. What we're doing, we're looking at how it's all going to finalize in the Millennium! And then tomorrow we're going to see the greatest and most spectacular thing yet to happen!

I want you to look at how it is very similar to the New Testament to where we have to love God more than father, mother, and so forth. We have to do everything that God wants us to do.

Genesis 12:1: "And the LORD said to Abram, 'Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house into a land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation…." (vs 1-2).

Now when God says great, how great is great? Now remember, the New Testament tells us that 'IF we are Christ, THEN we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.'

Well, here's the promise; here's where it is outlined. The covenant in Gen. 15 makes the promise secure forever. So, here in:

Genesis 12:2: "And I will bless you and make your name great. And you shall be a blessing."

  • not only in that time
  • not only to his family
  • not only His descendants to the world down through time up to the Millennium

BUT also when the Millennium starts! His name is going to be great. He's going to have tremendous, tremendous descendants. It's going to be amazing indeed!

Verse 3: "And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you..."

Now listen carefully to this because this is quite an ongoing promise that goes through all time before up to the return of Christ and then continues in a magnified way all during the Millennium.

"…And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed" (v 3). That's quite a thing!

So this is what we are seeing right back here in Isa. 51. A reference back to that and into the future.

Isaiah 51:3: "For the LORD shall comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody."

This also is a format of what is going to be all during the Millennium. Think about what that is going to be. Look at all the desert areas that will be productive. Look at all of the wilderness areas that people will now live in abundance and peace and everything.

There will be rivers in the desert. It will blossom. There will be everything for a thousand years! Everything that every human being in that time will want or need will be there. But the most important thing is coming to God! Learning so they can become the sons and daughters of God just like we were.

Verse 3: "For the LORD shall comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness shall be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody."

  • no fear of war
  • no fear of crime
  • no fear of any of those things

Verse 4: "Hearken to Me, My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation; for instruction shall proceed from Me…. [to us and to all of them] …and I will make My justice as a light to the people." What an amazing thing that is going to be!

Verse 5: "My righteousness is near; My salvation has gone out, and My arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon Me, and on My arm they shall trust."

Now listen to this, very similar to what God told Abraham when He gave the promise of Isaac and then the promise that his seed would be like the stars. He said, 'Look up to the heavens.'

Now here's the real interesting thing that you need to keep in mind:

  • whenever you get discouraged
  • whenever you get down
  • whenever you get depressed

if you have difficulties, look up to the heavens—and we can do that today with the James Webb telescope site and see the fantastic stars and the great creation of God.

Think about what it's going to be like during the Millennium when we are on the earth. Think about what it's going to be like when we can go to Jerusalem. Think about what it's going to be like that:

  • we can see and look at the stars
  • we can know the great Plan of God
  • the great peace of God is given to all people

Verse 6: "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke…"

  • into the new heavens
  • into the new earth

That's what we will find tomorrow!

Verse 7: "Hearken to Me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My Law…"

That's going to be a thing. Everyone's going to do that. So this is really quite a marvelous thing of how all of this is coming together.

Rev. 20—Let's see what's going to happen. Now remember there is something that takes place and there's repetition of it.

We saw at the beginning of the Millennium that God is going to have to deal with Gog and Magog until they know that He is the Lord.

In Rev. 20 we see something very interesting because there will be those who all during the Millennium will not want to go God's way, and they will have to be exiled to someplace on this earth so that they die accursed. That place we find is called 'Gog and Magog. '

At the beginning of the Millennium the people of Gog and Magog come under the jurisdiction of God. They become converted just like all the rest of the nations and the people. But there is a geographical Gog and Magog just exactly like there is Israel the people that God talks about and there is Israel the land. So likewise there is Gog and Magog the people who become subdued under the hand of God in Ezek. 38 and 39 but there is a geographical place of Gog and Magog, and this has to be the place of exile of the unrepentant sinners.

So during the Millennium we will have this: There are those who will sin, and since God is always interested in repentance if they are having a difficulty of overcoming then they can go to what we might call restoration or repentance centers so they can pray they can fast they can study, and they can come to what they need to do and then come back into the community of God.

Now IF they go to this place of repentance and they don't repent, and they don't want to do the will of God THEN they're exiled they can't live in the land; they can't be among the people!

We don't know how many it's going to be but there are going to be a lot that will not want to do it. WHEN they come into a society that is already made and they have free moral agency, and they set their mind and they set their will to do what they want to do instead of repenting to God, THEN that sin has to be dealt with and that sin has to be removed. So, this is what we find in Rev. 20:7, because we know at the beginning Satan is put into the abyss and locked up but here is a very interesting thing that takes place.

Revelation 20:7: "Now, when the thousand years have been completed, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison."

Why is God going to loose him out of his prison? We will see, because in order to go into the last day all the wicked have to be destroyed, which will be their first death. There will be others who were sent off to Gog and Magog who died and were accursed. So, they will have already been dead.

But here we have something here that God is going to take care of all of the sinners who are still alive. Now let's notice how big a deal that this is.

Verse 7: "Now, when the thousand years have been completed, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison; and he shall go out to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog…" (vs 7-8).

Now that is the geographical area of Gog and Magog. I don't know what part of it is but all through our time and in our lifetime we've had the area of Siberia, which is probably similar to what it's going to be with Gog and Magog.

"…of whom the number is as the sand of the sea, to gather them together for war" (v 8).

That's quite a thing that's going to happen. Here they are they're living there they've been rebellious and now here comes Satan, and Satan's going to come to them and say that he is the true God, but unfortunately he's been locked up a thousand years. But now that he will tell them now I'm out and I'm here and you are right that you didn't submit to God and carry out the things that He has said in Jerusalem.

So what we need to do we need to gather ourselves all together and we're going to form a huge army, and since where Jerusalem is located it has no defenses. We can go down there and we will take over Jerusalem. We will rule the world!

All of that was taken from Satan when he was put into the abyss and locked up for a thousand years. So, he gathers them together for war.

Verse 9: "Then I saw them go up upon the breadth of the earth and encircle the camp of the saints… [right there in Jerusalem] … and the beloved city…"

They think they're going to get away with it, but God has a surprise for them so here's what's going to happen.

"…and fire came down from God out of heaven and consumed them" (v 9).

So, all of the living unrepentant will be destroyed at the end of the Millennium; that's their first death.

Now then, we have something happened to Satan the devil and the demons, so we'll look at that because this brings us to the end of the Millennium and ready for The Great White Throne Judgment and the Last Great Day of the great salvation of many.

Verse 10: "And the Devil, who deceived them, was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet had been cast…"

Let's understand this that happened the first thing when Christ and the saints came from the Sea of Glass down against the armies of the beast and Satan.

"…and the beast and the false prophet were cast into the Lake of Fire t and brimstone…" (v 10)—they burned up!

They weren't there being tormented a thousand years, so this has nothing to do with the ever-burning soul'

"…where the beast and the false prophet had been cast" (v 10).

It's interesting in the Greek it's the plural they meaning Satan and his demons.

"…and they, Satan and the demons, shall be tormented day and night into the ages of eternity" (v 10).

How far out are the 'ages of eternity? If it's eternal that means it's a timeframe that we can't at this time comprehend! Here comes the Last Great Day, which we'll cover tomorrow.

Let's come to the book of Jude and see what's going to happen to Satan and the demons. After they're in the Lake of Fire, they're not going to be there forever, because in the book of Jude we find what their destiny is going to be,

Jude a very short epistle of the half brother of Jesus. Let's look at how Jude wrote this, and how he shows that all the evil that has gone on has been caused by Satan.

Jude 6: "And the angels who did not keep their own original domain, but deserted their habitation…"

These are the rebellious angels these are the third of the angels that fell with Satan the devil when they came to fight against God before the creation of Man.

"…He is holding in eternal bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the Great Day" (v 6).

So, there has to come the Last Great Day and then the final judgment of Satan the devil.

Then he makes a comparison here; Jude lays to Satan and the demons all of these tremendous problems that have been recorded in the Bible as major things that have happened to the great number of sinners.

Verse 7: "Just as Sodom and Gomorrah—and the cities surrounding them, in the same manner as them—having given themselves over to sexual debaucheries, and having gone after different flesh, are themselves exhibited as a perpetual example of undergoing the punishment of eternal fire."

Satan and the demons are cast into the Lake of Fire first but as we will see they don't stay there forever, because eventually the Lake of Fire when everything is all over and done with the things of the Last Great Day the whole earth is going to be enveloped in fire to melt all the elements as Peter wrote (2-Peter 3) to prepare the way for the new heaven and the new earth we'll talk about that tomorrow.

Verse 8: "In the same way also, these dreamers of filthy dreams are defiling the flesh… [unrepentant sinners at the end of the Millennium] …and are declaring as invalid the Lordship of God, and are blaspheming the Divine powers."

That will be us during the Millennium, and this can have applications at different times, as well, before the return of Christ. The angels are also involved in this:

Verse 9: "But Michael the archangel, when he was personally taking issue with the devil, disputing about the body of Moses, did not presume to pronounce a reviling judgment against him, but said, 'The Lord Himself rebuke you!'"

Now that's a very interesting thing that we can learn a lesson from,  which is this: Do not take to ourselves any credit for what God wants done through us, but thank God that we've been a part of it!

Verse 10: "As for these, whatever things they do not understand, they blaspheme; but whatever things they understand by instinct, as irrational brute beasts, they are corrupting themselves in these things."

That's people. as well as Satan and the demons:

  • Are they not corrupt?
  • Have they not been corrupting themselves in what they have done?
  • Yes, indeed!

Verse 11: "Woe to them! For they have walked in the way of Cain…"—who were directly under Satan the devil!

Look at the society that came down to the time of the Flood. That evil was everywhere so that every thought of everyone was only evil continually!

"…and for gain, they have wholly given themselves up to Balaam's delusion, and haveperished in the rebellion of Korah" (v 11).

Using all of these things to show what's going to happen to the wicked and then we will see what's going to happen to Satan, because this last day of the Feast of Tabernacles pictures that Satan must be permanently removed before the Last Great Day!

Verse 12: "These are subversive stains in your love feasts, feasting in person together with you; fearlessly they are feeding themselves. They are clouds without water, being driven by the winds; trees of late autumn, without any fruit, uprooted, twice dead."

He's showing the fate of all of the those who are going to be cast into the Lake of Fire,  and the first ones who are going to go in there are the rebels at the end of the Millennium. They have not repented and Satan is loosed and he gathers them all together for the battle against Jerusalem to try and retake over the world again. So it's an amazing thing how all these come together! Here are the demons:

Verse 13: "Raging waves of the sea, casting up like foam their own ignominious shame…"

This is talking about the fallen angels. Here is their fate:

"…wandering stars…" (v 13).

Angels are called stars, wandering, sinful angels who have left God to go their own rebellious way.

"…for whom has been reserved the blackest darkness forever!" (v 13).

So that's where Satan and the demons are going to be! The Day of Atonement, as we have seen, pictures the locking up of Satan at the beginning of the Millennium. That was his fate going out into the wilderness as the Azazel goat shows.

Here is the final fate of Satan and the demons, which finishes the Millennium and then opens the way for what is known in Rev. 20 as The Great White Throne Judgment. That's going to be a marvelous day indeed and a great and wonderful thing for us:

  • to see
  • to know
  • to hear
  • to understand

You come back tomorrow for the Last Great Day, and this will cap off a wonderful Feast of Tabernacles, and give us a great hope and great encouragement in a world that is becoming more and more wicked. That God has selected us

  • to correct it
  • to change it
  • to teach it
  • to bring peace

So we'll see you tomorrow on Day Eight!
