Please Note:
The Jubilee Year straddles half of Year 49 and half of Year 50, so it is called the 50th year. The reason it is calculated that way is to take into account the entire planting and harvesting year. And the planting for the Spring crop is generally done in the Fall. That's why the Jubilee runs from Atonement to Atonement, the 10th day of the Seventh month, and not from Nisan 1 to Nisan 1.
