In a city called Nazareth there was a woman named Mary. God sent His angel, Gabriel, to tell Mary she would have a baby boy. Gabriel told Mary that God's Power and Spirit would cause her to have a baby.
Mary was going to marry a man named Joseph. Later Joseph married Mary and they went to a town named Bethlehem to try to find a place to camp for the Feast of God. The only place they could find was in a stable.
Mary gave birth to the baby boy, wrapped him in cloth and put him in a manger. The angel of the Lord had told Joseph and Mary to call His name Jesus, which means, “the One Who saves.” He was also called Christ, which means, “the Anointed One.”
